AI/ML Engineer - Remote

● AI/ML Solution Design: Architect, build, and deploy production-ready machine learning models
tailored to LMIS use cases (e.g., job seeker profile to job vacancy matching, skills recommendation
engine).
● Data Pipelines & Modeling: Design and optimize data pipeline architectures to handle large-scale
demographic and labor market datasets in collaboration with the Database Administrator (LLL) and
DevOps Engineer (LLL).
● Labor Market Insights: Develop predictive models to forecast employment trends, in-demand
skills, and economic shifts to support government decision-making.
● Natural Language Processing (NLP): Implement NLP models to enable automated multilingual
resume parsing, semantic search on job postings, and taxonomical mapping of professions (aligning
with international standards like ISCO).
● Model Evaluation & Integration: Ensure ML models are highly performant, scalable, and
successfully integrated via secure APIs into the web and mobile platforms.

● Programming Languages: Python, R, SQL
● ML/DL Frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, Keras, etc.
● NLP & Text Mining: Hugging Face (Transformers), spaCy, NLTK, BERT/RoBERTa models (for
multilingual semantic processing)

● Vector Databases (for Semantic Search): Pgvector, Pinecone, or Milvus
● MLOps & Deployment: MLflow, Docker, Kubernetes, FastAPI, Flask, Triton Inference Server

Technical Requirements
● Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Mathematics, or
a related quantitative field.
● Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as an AI/ML Engineer, with a proven track record
of deploying models into production.
● Core Skills:
○ Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn).
○ Strong experience in NLP techniques, text processing, and recommendation engines.
○ Experience with relational databases and SQL, as well as big data technologies (e.g., Spark,
Hadoop) and cloud AI services.
○ Strong understanding of MLOps pipelines (model tracking, deployment, monitoring, CI/CD for
ML).
○ English Language Proficiency: Strong verbal and written English communication skills. Ability
to draft technical documentation, explain complex AI models, and collaborate effectively within
a multicultural team environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Pluses)
● Experience working on public sector, donor-funded (e.g., UN, LuxDev, EU, SDC), or national-scale
portal development projects.
● Prior experience developing human resource tech (HRTech), job boards, or educational
matchmaking systems.
