Java Developer - Remote

Project description
We are looking for Mid-level and Senior Java Developers to join a team developing and maintaining a stable, commercial web application. The system is based on a classic backend architecture using Java Servlets, a relational database, and an Angular frontend.
Responsibilities
- development and maintenance of backend applications using Java (Servlets),
- designing and optimizing SQL queries (MariaDB),
- close cooperation with the frontend team (Angular),
- deployment and maintenance of applications on Apache Tomcat,
- analysis of requirements and participation in solution design,
- ensuring code quality and system stability.

Requirements (Mid / Senior)
- strong knowledge of Java (Servlets),
- hands-on experience with SQL and MariaDB,
- practical knowledge of Angular sufficient to work with APIs,
- experience with Apache Tomcat,
- ability to work with existing codebases,
- experience using Git.

Additional requirements – Senior level
- minimum 5 years of commercial experience,
- ability to design solutions independently,
- experience with performance optimization of applications and databases,
- mentoring and technical support for less experienced developers,
- participation in architectural decisions.

Nice to have
- experience with Linux environments,
- experience working with legacy systems,
- basic knowledge of web application security,
- experience in product-oriented development teams.
