Senior Golang Engineer - Remote

THE ROLE

We are looking for a backend engineer to build the systems that make this work at scale: high-throughput scanning across many AI providers, and the search and indexing layer that turns millions of AI answers into fast, queryable insight. This is core, mostly greenfield infrastructure work in an emerging space, written in Go.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Design and build large-scale search and indexing systems over millions of AI answers and brand mentions - ingestion, indexing, and low-latency query for share-of-voice, sentiment and trends.

• Build high-concurrency pipelines that continuously query many LLM and AI-search providers - worker pools, rate limiting, backpressure, retries and fault isolation across unreliable third-party APIs.

• Model and store large, fast-growing datasets, and keep queries fast as the data scales.

• Expose clean, well-tested APIs to the product and data/ML layers.

• Own the performance, reliability and observability of the services you build.

• Senior-level, typically 5+ years, with strong production Go (Golang): you have shipped and operated real services in Go and can own systems end to end.

• Experience with large-scale search indexes - inverted indexes / full-text search (Elasticsearch,

• OpenSearch or similar) or custom indexing - and a feel for how indexing and query performance behave at scale.

• Solid concurrent programming: goroutines, channels, worker pools, synchronisation, and the failure modes of concurrent and distributed systems.

• Comfort with high-throughput data pipelines and databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) at scale.

• A pragmatic engineer who cares about correctness, performance and clean code.

NICE TO HAVE

• Information retrieval and search relevance; vector search and embeddings.

• Orchestrating many external APIs, especially LLM / AI-provider APIs.

• Streaming and queues (Kafka, NATS), cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP), Docker / Kubernetes.Observability (metrics, tracing) and performance profiling in Go.
