Senior PHP Developer - Remote

• Development and continuous improvement of our web platform across backend and frontend

• Maintenance and extension of PHP-based backend systems, including a significant legacy PHP codebase without a framework

• Development of internal and external APIs

• Frontend development with JavaScript and/or TypeScript

• Implementation of new product features together with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders

• Gradual modernization and replacement of legacy components

• Analysis and resolution of bugs, performance issues, and technical bottlenecks

• Working with PostgreSQL and MySQL, including query and data-access optimization

• Strong PHP experience, including PHP 5 and PHP 8

• Experience working with legacy PHP applications without a framework

• Good knowledge of Symfony

• Docker

• JavaScript and/or TypeScript

• REST APIs

• PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL

• Git / Bitbucket

• Jira, Slack, and email-based collaboration

• Good English communication skills

Nice to Have

• CodeIgniter 3

• Redis

• Behat or similar testing tools

• Experience with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
