Python Backend Developer - Remote

Q-commerce recommendation system for a fast-growing delivery startup in the KSA. The goal is to design and implement a real-time, scalable personalization engine integrated across the full e-commerce platform. Key features include AI-driven recommendations, stock/location-aware logic, and performance tracking dashboards.

Duties:
Build and optimize high-performance APIs for real-time personalization
Design cross-sell and upsell logic driven by user behavior
Integrate browsing, search, and purchase data into recommendation pipelines
Implement scalable, stock-aware recommendation modules
Support MLOps for model deployment, retraining, and monitoring

At least 5 years of backend development experience
Proven experience building recommendation engines or personalization systems
Strong Python or Node.js skills for microservices
Experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch in production
Deep knowledge of REST and/or GraphQL API design
Experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB
Experience with Redis, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch
Familiarity with Kafka or Kinesis for streaming data
Cloud deployment experience on AWS or Azure
Hands-on experience with MLOps (model training, serving, monitoring)
